After making my Tosca debut last May at the Bayerische Staatsoper and singing it a few months later in concert at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (where it was also recorded for Deutsche Grammophon), the time has finally come to perform it at Puccini’s home. On 1st August, I will step onto the stage of the Torre del Lago Puccini Festival for the very first time to perform “my” Tosca on stage in Italy. I’m incredibly happy to sing here and (before the performance) to visit Villa Puccini, a place deeply steeped in the beauty, memory and spirit of Puccini.
