Following my debut in March 2021 at the Liceu in Barcelona, I'm singing again as Desdemona in Verdi's Otello. It's been just over two years since last time, but my sensations of this opera and the stage have changed and I've gained greater awareness, which fills me with a sense of responsibility but also joy, as I explore complex, captivating artistic itineraries. My repertoire is moving assuredly towards new Verdi works, more challenging Belcanto, the Puccini of Madama Butterfly. As a result, I consider myself very lucky to be back singing as Desdemona, all the more so because it's the same 2021 production, dominated by Amélie Niermeyer's sensitivity towards the condition of women. With a stellar cast conducted by Francesco Ivan Ciampa, I'm singing in the performances on 29th October and on 3rd, 8th and 11th November at the Bayerische Staatsoper.
